Meissen Porcelain Figurines, Pair of Lovers. Model 571, 15cm high
Sitting lovers, 18th century, design w. Johann Joachim Kaendler, above a base covered with plastic flowers and leaves, shepherd couple sitting on a tree stump, kissing and embracing each other, she dressed in white dress with splendid flower patterned cloth and he with black/brown knee breeches, white shirt and sea green jacket, polychrome painted and ornamental gilding.
Very good condition though her outstretched leg may have been repaired, also small firing crack under the base (not visible when standing upright).
